The following report is the implementation of a water treatment system activated acid washing to reduce cyanide gas in Process Plant La Quinua Minera Yanacocha SRL coal. The treatment system was implemented to the water outlet of acid washing, in which they will be neutralized with caustic solution prepared at 10% with a dosage of 100 ml of caustic solution per m3 of acid water washing until pH ranges between 7.514-8.987 and then enter the neutralized solution to column 2 of the 7 train Plant carbon adsorption columns. The treatment system will be implemented at the rate of an investment of US $ 2944.50 using a tank that was on standby with other materials and will have as company in charge of the implementation SYMI SRL Integral Solutions and Maintenance. The process water treatment acid wash was performed by laboratory tests, which consisted of obtaining an adequate dosage to neutralize this water and bring to a basic pH. The criteria for the implementation of this system were based on the redesign of the conventional circuit to achieve the needs presented by the company. Was reduced in 92.20%.The generation of this gas in the circuit carbon adsorption columns, thus indicating that the water treatment system is satisfactory. The economic and financial impact that would generate improved quality management of the acid solution in the acid wash process of activated carbon was analyzed, generating savings of US $ per year 1'100,121.60 the company, it thus improving the quality management of acid washing process.
