The objective of this research was to determine how the organizational culture relates to the work performance of the workers of the security company La Frontera SAC in the city of Trujillo. The sample population consisted of 70 workers from the La Frontera SAC security company in the city of Trujillo. For the fulfillment of the objectives, it was used as instruments to assess the variables, for the organizational culture it was based on the Competency Values Framework of Cameron and Quinn, 2006; and for the job performance a questionnaire based on Chiavenato, 2000 was used. The investigation of the present work was of type correlated, because the existent relation between the organizational culture and the labor performance of the population under study was analyzed from the results obtained from the applied questionnaire. The results allow us to conclude the type of predominant organizational culture is the clan type culture which achieved the highest score among the workers by 31.8%, followed by the market style with 24.4%, a hierarchical culture of 22.3%, and the culture type Adhocracia with 21.5%, The level of work performance, high category predominates (46.7%), followed by middle class with 40.0% and low with 13.3%. There is a medium correlation between the variables organizational culture and work performance (r = 0.498). A training plan is proposed to give the clan model an adequate hierarchical component, by the nature of the organization, and to avoid the defects that the clan model could present and thus improve the work performance.
