ABSTRACT During millions of years have been a main of transportation of dissolved solids for oceans, by this time dynamic is still the same. The reason of dissolved solids presence in bodies of water has been influenced by physical weathering process, chemical process and biological process. Water is the most abundant substance of the world as well as the most vulnerable component of the environment because of human beings influence, the over exploitation of natural resources, and impacts of climate change all over the world. Water continues being crucial for all kind of living, and it is demanded for every productive activity. We agree about salinity accomplishes an important role when we establishes water uses. Agriculture and cattle industry limit dissolved salt in water. Water sources must also accomplish quality conditions in order to be treated for population consumption. This researching considers water quality evaluation of Chonta river, considering physicochemical parameters such as: electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids and salinity; as well as to compare them with ECA results according to D.S N° 004-2017-MINAM. Use Pearson correlation coefficient for the variables. KEYWORDS: load in solution, electrical conductivity, dissolved solids, salinity, environmental quality standards.
