The present research was carried out in the period 2020-2, taking as population and a nonprobabilistic sample 328 students of the psychology career of a Private University of North Lima, which aimed to determine the relationship that exists between male chauvinism and violence against women, for this the general hypothesis that was raised was that there is a significant relationship between male chauvinism and violence against women. The research is of a basic type, quantitative in nature, using statistics and the use of programs such as SPSS for data analysis, the design is non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational-descriptive. The instruments that were used to measure the constructs were; Montalvo's Scale of Machismo (5 Dimensions) and Rey's Questionnaire on the acceptance of violence against women (Unidimensional) which had to be adapted to the current context, transforming them into virtual questionnaires through the GoogleForm platform, With respect to the psychometric properties, these indicated that both tests are reliable, indicating a coefficient of alpha α = .857 and α = .900, respectively, and valid for their application to this specific sample group. The descriptive results that were obtained were the following; Regarding men, they obtained a total of 22.56% at the high level and 23.47% at the medium level, respectively with the constructs and with respect to women, it was 75.91% at the high level and 76.21% at the medium level respectively (violence against woman and macho attitude) and the inferential results indicate that there is a moderate positive correlation.
