The objective of this research is to determine the extent to which the implementation of the Kaizen method improves productivity in the high-power QSK78 engine assembly process, 2016-2017. This research applied in the Kaizen methodology to achieve a culture of organizational change. Which seeks to eliminate the limitation that prevents the improvement of productivity in the assembly of engines QSK78 In the first development in 2016 about the hours that was used in the repair of a QSK78 engine was 305 hours that sold one year 18 working days with the implementation of the kaizen method in 2017 it came to repair a QSK78 engine is 255 hours that come to be 15 days getting a reduction of 3 days In the analysis developed on the profitability in the second semester of 2016 there was a profit of $ 5,601,271.31 USD and in the first semester of 2017 there was an increase of $ 4,713, 605,100 Dollars and a percentage increase of 7% in relation to the second semester of 2016 In the analysis of quality improvement in the second half of 2016, 273 operational incidents were found on the spare parts used in the repair, with the implementation of the kaizen method and the creation of the logistics operation area in the high-power workshop. First semester of 2017 a reduction of 110 operational incidents was obtained and with a percentage increase of 7%, generating a reduction of damaged parts in 2017 of 42.6%
