The main purpose of this research work is to indicate how the implementation of the maintenance methodology focused on reliability increases the availability of welding machines in the company Welders Peru SAC (Lincoln Electric). The welding machines did not have a preventive maintenance plan, corrective maintenance was applied whenever necessary, for this reason it was taken into consideration to be able to carry out this maintenance application to improve the availability and reliability indicators of the equipment. It is considered very important to have the equipment available and operating 100% since these with equipment carry out different activities, which close the commercial procedure and it is expected to be able to close the deals that may arise. With the application of the RCM methodology the following conclusions were reached: availability increased from 84.4% in 2018 to 94.1% in 2019, welding machine repair times decreased from 790 hours in 2018 to 343 in 2019 being 43.4%, the number of failures decreased from 84 failures in 2018 to 57 failures in 2019 being 67.9% and maintenance costs were reduced from S /. 15,600.00 in 2018 to S /. 8,500.00 in 2019 being 54.5%. Obtaining as a result a productive application of the RCM methodology for welding machines, improving their production indicators.
