ABSTRACT The present research work is entitled “Application of the Time Study Method to update the Standard Time of drilling in the mining phase Arcata Mine“ in the company has a deficiency in the updating of the standard time in drilling due to the change of method of work in recent years, whose main purpose is to update the standard time of drilling in the conventional method enhanced by applying the study of times in the extraction phase of the Minera Arcata. The determination of results was carried out through the interview, review of documents and observation for data recording, where the information obtained was analyzed for the preparation of the final conclusions of the investigation, finally it was determined that the standard time of drilling in the conventional method enhances. The present study reveals the detail of the observation work in the field by the Arcata productivity team, carried out in each of the pits selected for the study, during the development of each one of the activities of the mining cycle in the shifts day and night., obtained by applying the study of times in the extraction phase of the Arcata Mine is 211.95 minutes / mesh is also recommended to perform the application of the method of time study in a time not exceeding 4 years to maintain a constant recognition of the activities that may appear in the drilling activity.
