The objective of the study was to determine the factors associated with participation in the Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis Program in pregnant women in the third trimester at the Sant Luzmila II Maternal and Child Center, from April to July 2021. Methodology: quantitative, basic and observational research, with a non-invasive design. experimental correlational/causal transectional. We worked with a random sample of 97 pregnant women. The analysis was performed with Chi square and Cramer's V (effect size). Results: 63.9% were adults, 45.4% studied at the university, 37.1% were cohabitants and 53.6% registered independent work, 36.5% had between 36 and 39 weeks of pregnancy, 46.4% without children, 53.6% did not plan their pregnancy, 91.8 % with prenatal control, 40.2% without interest in attending the program and 91.8% without obstetric complications. The only associated demographic factor was the level of education (p=.036; V=.262). Meanwhile, the associated obstetric factors were gestational age (p=.003; V=.352), pregnancy planning (p=.001; V=.343) and interest in attending (p=.000; V=. 418). Finally, the treatment of administrative staff was determined as an associated institutional factor (p=.038; V= .243). Conclusions: The level of education, gestational age, planned pregnancy, interest in attending and treatment of the administrative staff are factors associated with participation in the Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis Program.
