The present investigation entitled Evaluation of the effectiveness of recycled aggregate on the quality of concrete in gravity walls in the Gorgor district, Cajatambo - Lima, 2020 has the main objective of evaluating the influence of the use of natural and treated recycled coarse aggregate in order to improve the properties of concrete of gravity walls exposed to sulfates in the district of Gorgor, Cajatambo-Lima in 2020, for which it is based on the need to reuse materials and mitigate negative impacts on the environment. It began with the study of soils to know their physical-geotechnical parameters and thus analyze the feasibility of the investigation, the design conditions of the proposed structure were evaluated. Natural materials were obtained and the recycled coarse aggregate was treated with calcium carbonate The proposed analysis is of the natural recycled coarse aggregate and treated as a replacement for natural coarse aggregate by weight to be compared with a standard sample regarding the properties of the concrete in fresh and hardened state. The behavior of the concrete in the hardened state is that, in terms of compression, it registered a linear tendency to lower content of natural and treated coarse recycled aggregate with respect to the standard sample, which is why it is concluded that the properties did not improve for any of these conditions. However, in terms of diametral compression traction, a better performance was seen with 25% of recycled coarse aggregate, both natural and treated, that is, it had a positive influence on resistance. The present investigation is of Applied type, quantitative approach, correlational scope and a Pure Experimental investigation design.
