Evaluación y conservación de pavimentos flexibles mediante los índices de desempeño “PCI” y “VIZIR” en la carretera Huanchaco entre el tramo km 11+200 hasta el km 13+100, Trujillo 2021

Abstract

La presente investigación, tiene como objetivo evaluar y conservar el pavimento flexible de la carretera Huanchaco entre el tramo KM 11+200 hasta el KM 13+100, utilizando los métodos: PCI (Índice de Condición del Pavimento) basado en la Norma ASTM D6433-11 y VIZIR (Inspección Visual y Rutas de Riesgos). Para la realización de la tesis se utilizó un diseño No experimental – comparativo, la recolección de datos responde a la recopilación por observación y registro en las fichas elaboradas para los ambos métodos. El problema en la ciudad en su gran mayoría cuenta con calzadas de pavimento flexible en un mal estado tanto en calles como avenidas, con un gran índice de condición deteriorado y, en consecuencia, los vehículos con frecuencia se deterioran debido a la gran cantidad de fallas. Por consiguiente, mediante la investigación se logró identificar el tratamiento requerido por cada calzada, por lo tanto, según la evaluación por el método PCI el pavimento de la calzada derecha se encuentra en una condición Muy Buena en un 56% y en la calzada izquierda se encuentra en estado Bueno en un 40%; y mediante el método VIZIR el pavimento de la calzada derecha se encuentra en un estado Bueno en un 77% y la calzada izquierda se encuentra en un estado Bueno en un 100%. Así mismo, la falla más predominando fue el Pulimiento de Agregados por el método PCI y Pérdida de la película de ligante por el método VIZIR. Finalmente se determinó que la carretera Huanchaco entre el tramo KM 11+200 hasta el KM 13+100 requiere Mantenimiento y Rehabilitación, por último, se propuso la realización del proceso de Slurry para ambas calzadas con la finalidad de ampliar su vida.

The objective of this research is to evaluate and preserve the flexible pavement of the Huanchaco highway between the stretch KM 11 + 200 to KM 13 + 100, using the methods: PCI (Pavement Condition Index) based on the ASTM D6433- Standard. 11 and VIZIR (Visual Inspection and Risk Routes). For the realization of the thesis, a non-experimental - comparative design was used, the data collection responds to the compilation by observation and recording in the sheets prepared for both methods. The problem in the city for the most part has flexible pavement roads in poor condition both on streets and avenues, with a high index of deteriorated condition and, consequently, vehicles frequently deteriorate due to the large number of failures. Therefore, through the investigation, it was possible to identify the treatment required for each road, therefore, according to the evaluation by the PCI method, the pavement of the right road is in a Very Good condition in 56% and on the left road it is 40% is in Good condition; and using the VIZIR method, the pavement of the right road is in a good condition in 77% and the left road is in a good condition in a 100%. Likewise, the most predominant failure was the Polishing of Aggregates by the PCI method and Loss of the binder film by the VIZIR method. Finally, it was determined that the Huanchaco highway between the section KM 11 + 200 to KM 13 + 100 requires Maintenance and Rehabilitation, finally it was proposed to carry out the process of Slurry Seal for both roads in order to extend their life.
