The present research aims as a starting point to determine the functional and structural conservation status of the flexible pavement of Av. Metropolitana, Tramo Ida: Av. Universitaria – Av. Gregorio Apaza and Tramo Vuelta: Av. Gregorio Apaza - Av. Universitaria, in the comas district, Lima City where after obtaining the parameters, and in compliance with the general objective a possible correlation between structural conservation status (PCI and IRI) will be determined against the state of conservation. The Pavement Condition Index (PCI) shall be applied for the assessment of the functional conservation status of the flexible pavement; according to ASTM D6433 this is a method of analysis and application, as it is one of the most complete modes for the evaluation and objective qualification of pavements; it is also intended to determine the International Regularity Index (IRI) using the Merlin Rugosimeter, according to INVE 790 this device will allow us to measure the roughness of the pavement; while the Benkelman Beam Deflectometer is intended for the assessment of structural conservation status; according to the MTC E1002 standard this equipment will allow us to measure the deflections and determine the radius of curvature in the pavements. The results of this work will allow us to know the functional and structural conservation status of the pavements. Finally, a series of correlations between functional (PCI and IRI) and structural (deflection) parameters obtained will be performed through the Pearson Correlation statistical test to determine if there is any possible correlation.
