This investigation was carried out in order to propose the design of an artistic higher education center as the headquarters for the Regional Conservatory of Music “Carlos Valderrama“ in the city of Trujillo, since it currently does not have its own headquarters, Rather, it works within the facilities of the National Institute of Culture, together with a theater school and a dance school. As one of its main problems is the lack of acoustic comfort due to the noise interference existing in its facilities, the objective of this project is to determine on which passive noise control techniques should be based the proposal of a new headquarters for the Regional Conservatory of Music “Carlos Valderrama“ in Trujillo 2020. Initially, an architectural background review is carried out as part of the research methodology used, in order to contextualize certain definitions and understand the operation of the architectural object in addition to the use of passive noise control techniques, through extracted technical guidelines verified in the analysis. accomplished. Finally, by comparing these technical guidelines with certain theoretical guidelines, the design guidelines that will condition the design of the architectural object are presented.
