Abstract: La investigación tuvo como propósito determinar la relación que existe entre la autoestima y la dependencia emocional en estudiantes de Psicología de una universidad de Lima, 2021; esta investigación es cuantitativa y se desarrolló bajo el diseño no experimental; asimismo, es de corte transversal de tipo correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por una población de 285 estudiantes de la carrera de psicología de una universidad de Lima, para la recolección de datos se utilizó la escala de autoestima de Rosenberg (EAR) e inventario de dependencia emocional (IDE). Los resultados hallados fueron una correlación (rs= -0.328), a través de la prueba no paramétrica Rho de Spearman, el cual representa una relación inversa media entre ambas variables, lo cual refiere que existe una relación significativa entre autoestima y dependencia emocional.
The purpose of the research was to determine the relationship between self-esteem and emotional dependence in Psychology students at a university in Lima, 2021.
