The objective of this research project was to determine the biophilic design patterns that can be applied in the architectural proposal of a rehabilitation and physical therapy center in the city of Chimbote. Due to the fact that at present, the quality of infrastructures at the health level, especially with regard to rehabilitation, are totally inadequate spaces in addition to not meeting the existing demand of people in the city of Chimbote. That is why this architectural proposal is proposed hand in hand with the study variable “biophilic design patterns“ covering not only functional but also physiological needs that are so beneficial in humans. The research used for this proposal was cross-sectional: descriptive of a non-experimental project nature, using research instruments, such as case analysis files, rehabilitation center analysis files, relationship matrix, field weighting matrix and the theoretical framework that was later applied in architectural design. The result of the research concludes that, through the design guidelines governed by the study variable, it is determined that the biophilic design patterns, such as: exterior-interior gardens, skylights or theatines, biomimetic geometry, squares and patios can be apply in the architectural proposal.
