In the pandemic, different challenges arose for companies, which saw a sudden need to adapt to remote working methods and digital business models. In the local market, Dentaid Peru: a Spanish company dedicated to the oral health sector, which maintained a traditional sales model-medical visits to dental offices-but which, due to the economic situation, became impossible to execute. To address this, the Aliados program was created, with the aim of connecting Dentaid with dentists nationwide who were influential in social networks. The initial objective was to generate reach in social networks, with a target audience of dentists between 25 and 55 years of age with more than 1,000 followers on social networks, who offer oral health content to their patients. Dentaid applied a benchmarking strategy by researching and analyzing the actions taken by competitors locally and in Latam, focusing on actions towards oral health specialists. The results were remarkable: Dentaid Peru achieved more than 3M bimonthly impacts on social networks through its Allies and managed to expand its network to more than 600 dentists, who became influencers and brand promoters. The program was fundamental to increase brand recall and loyalty among dentists and the public. In addition, its impact was reflected in sales: they reached S/. 38 M in the first year of implementation and S/. 57M in 2021. This successful project continues to strengthen the brand to this day due to the excellent results.
