The objective of this research work is to demonstrate the improvement in compressive strength acquired at 1, 3, 7, 14, 28, and 56 days of age after the incorporation of potassium polyacrylate into the mix in a concrete with a strength of f'c=210 kg/cm2, comparative control patterns of specimens externally cured through immersion and membrane formers are used for this purpose. Additionally, the study involves examining the density acquired at 56 days of setting in additional specimens with Potassium Polyacrylate. This polymer is a superabsorbent capable of retaining and releasing up to 300 times its weight in water, a characteristic that is harnessed in this research as an internal curing agent. Finally, the results obtained demonstrate that the incorporation of potassium polyacrylate increases compressive strength by 10.41% compared to externally cured samples by immersion and 8.53% compared to those cured through membrane application.
