In recent years, developing countries like Peru have implemented measures to increase the financial inclusion of their populations, recognizing the associated benefits of this initiative. Using recent data from the National Survey of Financial Capabilities conducted by the Superintendencia de Banca, Seguros y AFP del Perú and the Corporación Andina de Fomento (SBS & CAF, 2022), this paper examines financial inclusion, financial education, and the relationship between the two in Peru for the year 2022. The methodology proposed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD, 2022) for measuring financial inclusion and financial education is utilized. Three binary variables are used to measure financial inclusion, and an index is employed to evaluate financial education. Finally, using binary choice models, the results suggest that there is a positive and significant relationship between financial education and financial inclusion.
