The objective was to determine the relationship between the attitude towards the consumption of generic medications and self-medication in users of three pharmaceutical establishments on Av. Canto Grande, San Juan de Lurigancho, February-March 2023. MATERIALS. The approach was quantitative, the research design was non-experimental and transversal. The sample was made up of 200 users from the three pharmaceutical establishments on Av. Canto Grande, San Juan de Lurigancho, February-March 2023. The data collection instruments used were the questionnaire on attitudes towards the consumption of generic medications and the questionnaire acceptance of self- medication. In relation to the results, it was found that there was no relationship between the attitude towards the consumption of generic medications and the acceptance towards self- medication in users of three pharmaceutical establishments on Av. Canto Grande (p>0.05); Likewise, in the majority of those evaluated, an attitude of indifference towards the consumption of generic medications (61.5%) and rejection towards self- medication (64.5%) was found, and regarding the dimensions of the attitude towards consumption of generic medications was mostly of indifference, as well as in the dimensions of self- medication which was also of indifference.
