This work focuses on the company Lanitex and aims to evaluate the impact that accounts receivable management has on the economic and financial situation. The methodology used was a qualitative approach, as it allows for the exploration of various perspectives, analysis of concepts, and adaptation of approaches according to the specific needs of the study, making it the most flexible and adaptable option for addressing this issue. Additionally, information gathering through interviews and the review of accounting reports has been employed as a research tool, the results of which will be analyzed in this study. To understand the impact, the financial statements for the years 2022 and 2023 were analyzed. This work consists of three chapters. The first covers the presentation of the company's context, identifying the main problem related to accounts receivable. The general and specific objectives that will guide the research towards the relevant dimensions are detailed. The second chapter consists of several points. First, national and international backgrounds related to accounts receivable management are reviewed. Key concepts that marked the research, such as accounts receivable, heavy portfolio, ratios, collections, and financial statement analysis, were also established. Finally, in the third chapter, after analyzing the business problem, two alternative solutions are proposed, one of which is chosen based on the current situation of the company and its available resources.
