Objective: Compare attitudes and practices according to the labor sector in prenatal dental control in Metropolitan Lima. Materials and methods: An observational, analytical and cross-sectional study was carried out. A questionnaire on attitudes and practices in prenatal dental care according to the work sector was sent to 256 dentists in Metropolitan Lima. For the bivariate analysis of the study, the Chi square tests and Fisher's exact test were used with a confidence level of 95% and the value less than 0.05 was determined for the level of statistical significance. Results: Differences emerged in aspects such as the training of prenatal care providers to advise on oral health, the perception of the connection between periodontal disease and premature birth, as well as the administration of local anesthesia during pregnancy, the performance of routine examinations and tooth extraction. Conclusion: The study reveals that dentists recognized the importance of maintaining oral health during pregnancy and expressed interest in continuing education in the treatment of pregnant women.
