This project presents the campaign for Cerveza Andina, sponsor of Colombian non-professional soccer, created by Sancho BBDO. The campaign turns non-professional players into protagonists of local soccer, targeting an audience underserved by its main competitor, Cerveza Águila, which focuses only on professional soccer. The objective was to position Cerveza Andina as a sponsor of non-professional soccer and to reach out to the public by sponsoring teams and tournaments in Colombia. The success of the campaign was measured by the number of registrations received from teams, tournaments and stores, exceeding 5 thousand registrations, which reflects the good acceptance of the public. In addition, a study by Postobón, a Colombian non-alcoholic beverage company, ranked Cerveza Andina in the Top 10 brands recognized for supporting soccer in Colombia. The campaign received a quick response from Cerveza Águila, which announced “The biggest neighborhood soccer tournament in history” on Instagram, forcing the execution schedule to be moved forward. The campaign was developed in three phases: calls for sponsorship of players and neighborhood soccer teams, partnerships with local tournaments and stores, and content recording with those sponsored. The final phase, currently underway, seeks to increase sales using spare parts as the main tool. The qualitative methodology included market research, competitive analysis and creative idea generation, identifying an unexplored audience. This originated the concept, campaign name and ATL, BTL and digital communication pieces, inspiring the main action: sponsorship.
