Emotional intelligence and job satisfaction, in the labor market, are variables of historical interest in the science of administration. This is why the research focuses on developing the general objective, which is to identify the relationship between both variables to the retail home improvement administrative staff. Finding variables that impact emotional intelligence and job satisfaction in Metropolitan Lima. Therefore, a non-experimental cross-correlational methodology was used in the main home improvement companies in the retail sector. such as Promart Homecenter and Sodimac - Maestro Likewise, this study was correlative, descriptive and quantitative in nature. To collect information, a questionnaire was developed under the emotional intelligence scale and the Minnesota job satisfaction questionnaire on a Likert scale. Demographic questions are also included to obtain information on age, gender, and length of service. This questionnaire was distributed randomly among the administrative staff of both companies, guaranteeing heterogeneous representation. Participants completed the questionnaire through a form link submitted via LinkedIn, while another group completed the questionnaire in person. The data collected revealed high levels of emotional intelligence in home improvement retail management staff, identifying specific areas of strength and potential areas for improvement such as relationship management. The evaluation of job satisfaction in dimensions such as salary, promotion, co-workers, supervisors and the job itself will provide insights into the general perception of the job. Through statistical analysis, the evaluation between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction is examined. The results of Cronbach's alpha indicate significant reliability (alpha>0.9). Therefore, we conclude that the understanding and adequate management of emotions are moderately linked to interpersonal relationships and general satisfaction in the workplace.
