This project proposes to implement a data replicator to unify decentralized databases, specifically Informix and Oracle, in real time within a government entity. a governmental entity. First, an analysis is performed to select the data replication tool through benchmarking, evaluated according to various metrics. Subsequently, the installation, configuration and validation processes of the data replicator components are detailed, highlighting its ability to maintain integrity and consistency in the delivery of information in high-demand and complex environments. In addition, the technical and operational challenges associated with implementation are addressed. Practical recommendations are offered to optimize performance and mitigate potential risks. It also discusses best practices in terms of subscription setup, performance monitoring and subscription configuration, performance monitoring and incident management, with the goal of always ensuring smooth and reliable system operation. The results obtained reflect the effectiveness and robustness of the IBM InfoSphere Data Replication (IIDR) solution in a government entity, validating its ability to maintain consistency and availability of critical data under high load and contingency situations.
