This research paper analyzes the Owner Matter business unit of Ian Taylor Agencies, a leading company in the Peruvian maritime sector, which has faced significant challenges, especially in the Owner Matter area. It examines the current situation of the maritime and port sector, as well as the political, economic, socio-cultural, technological, ecological, and legal factors that impact the organization. Additionally, a Porter's Five Forces analysis is conducted to evaluate the competitive environment, and opportunities and threats are identified through an EFE matrix. Furthermore, a specific analysis is presented on the non-compliance with deadlines for the preparation of important documents in the Owner Matter area. In response to this, the need to propose a systematic and coherent change for the optimization of processes is emphasized, which include BPM Management, Lean Management, and Blockchain technology. Moreover, a comprehensive analysis of the problems faced by the Owner Matter area of the company in the maritime industry is presented, specifically related to the non-compliance with deadlines in the preparation of important documents. Three main problems have been identified: manual document preparation, deadline non-compliance, and issues in collecting documents from third parties. Three solutions are proposed: Lean Management, BPM Management, and Blockchain technology. This study analyzes how these solutions can be applied based on their impact on preparation times and financial indicators.
