Based on the need of the SBS and its relationship with the Official Letter No. 09504-2023-SBS sent to all Banks, Financial Institutions, municipal and rural savings and credit banks, where they request to report the ISIC Revision 4 code in each annex and report, it has been considered convenient to work on an initiative that includes the technological solution to address said regulatory request that in subsequent requests will reduce deployment times, achieving this process in an approved manner. As part of the information gathering and work sessions with each of the applications involved in the registration of clients (natural and legal personnel), including business users, technical leaders and team leaders, it was possible to validate that many did not have knowledge of the importance and impact related to a correct registration of the information, since they associated this field with a default value, or information loaded within each application, which produced a lack of homologation and inconsistency of the data. Having a centralized catalog of the ISIC (Economic Activity) involves an integration at a technological level that allows consuming and having the integrity of a single source of information based on the core client application in a banking entity. Given this, it was proposed to develop a technological solution that made it possible to have a centralized catalog of ISIC codes, which will be exposed to be consumed through a web service by the different business applications. With this solution, it was possible to reduce development times and effort for each application, thereby guaranteeing compliance with what was requested by the regulatory entity and in the event of a new update of the ISIC code, the systems will not require making changes to the catalog.
