The following Professional Sufficiency Work (PSW) proposes to develop a Business Intelligence dashboard for the control and tracking of products in a logistics company. The identified problem was based on the lack of timely information that delayed decision-making because each area of the company had an individual dashboard for monitoring its operations. This occurred because these dashboards were supplied with various data sources, including flat files, which not only meant that the data was not always up-to-date but also that it was scattered. Within that context, the idea was to create a Business Intelligence dashboard using Power BI. To achieve this goal, success indicators and metrics were selected, the technological architecture was designed, and work was carried out on the data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) process. With the implementation of the dashboard, the time required by analysts to create the report was reduced from 4 hours to 15 minutes, which corresponds to the daily update performed by the Power BI tool. This is because the control panel has been designed to automatically update every 2 hours, every day. Additionally, a satisfaction rate of 90% was achieved among the 10 surveyed individuals, measured by their acceptance of the monitoring and tracking panel, as well as the improvement in processing time before the dashboard implementation. Based on the results obtained from these two metrics, it can be concluded that the established acceptable parameters have been achieved.
