This project involves the migration of an SAP ECC system with carve-out process to the Amazon Web Services cloud platform for companies belonging to a business conglomerate. The problems identified were the centralization of data from companies from different economic sectors in a single SAP instance and the lack of independence to make changes. The project involved three test phases (Mocks) and a final implementation phase (Go live). In the previous stage, the migration rules were defined for each organization, where data segmentation was performed for the companies included in the carve-out process. In addition, the preparation of the source environment and the deployment of the shell environment in AWS was carried out; then the performance of the sap application and database was improved. During development, data migration to the target environments was performed using the selected migration tool; functional validations were performed by the end users and technical reviews by the executing team. The validations were recorded and reported to the incident resolution team to document them and their solution. The three test phases were used for the final implementation, where everything previously done was executed and the reported errors were solved. At the end of the project, the SAP system was successfully migrated under the configured migration rules, but when there were problems in the process, additional objects were migrated to resolve the incidents.
