Methodology: The type of study that was carried out was a qualitative study with a phenomenological focus, where in-depth semi-structured interviews were conducted with 27 participants. Through in-depth interviews, data collection was carried out, double coding was performed and the Colaizzi method was used to perform the analysis. The Standards for Reporting Qualitative Research (SRQR) were also used to determine the structure of this research. Results: It has been found that primary and secondary school teachers in Lima and Cusco are familiar with various myths related to vaccines, which have been influenced by their perceptions and life experiences. During the COVID-19 pandemic, new myths and significant differences were identified between the two cities. It has been possible to identify differences between the myths found and significant differences both between the two cities and between public and private schools. Furthermore, teachers constitute a crucial demographic segment that has a significant influence on the education of students. Conclusion: It has been shown that during the COVID-19 pandemic most of the teachers interviewed supported vaccination, some adhered to the identified myths, including 11 new myths that have not been recognized by the Government of Peru. Therefore, it is important that they receive health training and have access to accurate information to counter myths related to COVID-19. This is particularly relevant given its influential role in education.
