In the medical internship you are exposed to countless clinical and social situations to acquire sufficient skills for quality health care. This portfolio contains 30 clinical cases collected from the 10 months in which the medical internship took place and includes both cases of primary health care and oncological medicine and surgery and which were extracted from April 2023 to January 2024 in the “José Carlos Mariátegui” Health Center and the “National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases.” Objective: to describe and critically analyze clinical cases that I witnessed in my work as a medical intern and that contributed to my professional training with consolidative learning Methodology: this portfolio is an analytical-descriptive work about the clinical experience acquired during the medical internship, showing the 30 clinical cases from which I consider I obtained the most significant learning. Results: 30 cases were described descriptively, synthesizing the development of health care, its impact beyond the disease and its relationship with the acquisition of new learning for the medical intern. Conclusions: the medical internship is the last step in the training of the surgeon in Peru and is, probably, the most important year since the knowledge acquired in previous years is consolidated through participation in different real scenarios. Therefore, the medical internship allowed me to develop critical thinking and acquire skills in favor of quality care for people.
