According to Pinzón, M. (2020), the competitiveness of companies focused on the service sector lies in the customer’s need to receive a high-quality service in the shortest possible wait time. Therefore, this aspect is crucial when measuring customer satisfaction and their loyalty to the service provider. In the automotive repair and maintenance sector, service time is a critical factor in determining whether a workshop can increase its sales and sustain itself over time by attracting more customers. Quality service combined with competitive service times is the secret recipe for increasing market share and excelling in this industry. Consequently, the present study demonstrates techniques and methodologies that contribute to improve the productivity of companies dedicated to vehicle maintenance and repair by showing the effectiveness of the process starting from an initial situation with an average service time of 1.33 hours, achieving a reduction of 11.3% and consequently an increase in the productivity of the service.
