In recent years, there has been an increase in the generation of industrial effluents and, therefore, an increase in the generation of residual sludge. This can complicate the current situation of the country's landfills, contributing to the saturation of these infrastructures. Based on this, the general objective of this research is the application of the Zero Waste to Landfill approach through the material recovery of industrial sludge from the treatment of effluents generated during the production of water-based paint. When carrying out a background review, the development of construction materials (rectangular pavers) could be identified as the most feasible alternative, considering the ease of production and the low technological need. Likewise, for the production of the paving stones, three samples of 500, 600 and 700 grams of industrial sludge were made, seeking to carry out a laboratory test and make a comparison with the parameters established by current Peruvian regulations. It is concluded that only sample 1 with 500 grams of mud is the one that meets the established parameters, obtaining the classification of Type I (Pedestrian).
