This research work was developed in a consulting company specialized in lifting systems used in mining, which are critical links within the mineral extraction process. The objective of the work was the productivity of the consulting services, improving the use of man-hours assigned to consulting services, which at the time generated cost overruns of 5.2% of billing. The study is based on the application of Lean office methodologies and its VSM tools, work standardization, kanban, kaizen and continuous improvement. This work methodology allowed us to identify the waste generated in some processes, apply improvements to reduce or eliminate it and maintain fluidity in the value of the service. After making improvements in the initial value flow, we proceed to diagram the future state and measure the operational times and total times of the consulting service processes. In order to determine the results, a simulation of the future system was carried out that could correspond to the objectives of increasing productivity and compliance with service delivered on time. Finally, it is shown that the tools of the Lean office methodology contribute to an increase in productivity by 54%, which reduces cost overruns by 85% and increases the services delivered on time by 70%.
