Objective: To determine whether hip dysplasia is associated with the use of walkers in children under 5 years old at Hospital Jose Cayetano Heredia Piura. Materials and Methods: This is an observational, analytical, case-control, retrospective study with secondary data collection using medical records from the population of Hospital III-1 Cayetano Heredia in Piura. The data association is conducted through analytical statistics with a significance level of p<0.05 for interpretation. Results: Significant differences in age and sex were found between the case groups with and without walker use, where children aged 2, 3, and 4 years and females showed a higher prevalence in the non-walker group. Hip dysplasia was significantly associated with walker use (p=0.03, OR=2.12, 95% CI=1.72-2.32), as well as other factors such as female sex (p=0.02, OR=1.22, 95% CI=1.1-1.54), being the first child (p=0.04, OR=1.03, 95% CI=1.01-1.32), and breech delivery (p=0.03, OR=1.66, 95% CI=1.23-1.89). The average walker use was 5.74 months, with a family history of hip dysplasia present in 6.17% of the walker group versus 18.52% in the non-walker group (p<0.03), and previous falls reported in 8.64% of the walker group and 16.05% of the non-walker group (p<0.06). Obesity and macrosomia also showed differences between the groups, as did the condition of being the first child and breech delivery, suggesting a significant relationship between walker use and various factors associated with hip dysplasia in children under 5 years old. Conclusion: Hip dysplasia could be associated with the use of walkers in children under 5 years old at Hospital Jose Cayetano Heredia Piura
