The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between addiction to social networks and academic procrastination in psychology students at a private university in Piura, where 120 students participating in the last cycles of their professional career participated. The Social Network Addiction questionnaire (ARS) developed by Escurra and Salas in 2014 was applied to them, in addition to the Academic Procrastination Scale (EPA) adapted by Domínguez, Villegas and Centeno in 2014. For this, a descriptive correlational methodology was used. cross-sectional and non-experimental design. The results showed that there is no significant relationship p<.05 as indicated by the Pearson value (-.100), with a significance level of 0.278, however, all the social network addiction dimensions presented a negative correlation with the academic self-regulation dimension while with the dimension of postponement of activities, the correlations were positive. It was concluded that addiction to social networks is not always related to the procrastinating behaviors of students and that this will depend on the training that individuals receive.
