In forest exploitation, the forest census is the information base for planning, budgeting, execution and estimation of the volume that will be extracted from the forest, hence the importance of knowing the volume of the forest volume that will be obtained from the volume reported in census and the causes that generate this difference. The present study was carried out with 797 individuals of the ishpingo species (Amburana cearensis) from the 2015 harvest of the “Consolidado Maderacre“ concession and its objectives are to determine the volume of census and dispatch, main causes that affect this difference and the possible solutions that adjust this difference. The relationship between the census volume with the dispatch volume, the commercial height and the commercial length, the impact of the formula in volume calculation, the impact of the shape factor in the volume calculation, the impact of the failures in the calculation of the volume and what solutions could adjust this difference, this was achieved using statistical tests such as Chi square, Dunnett's T3 and multiple linear regression of dichotomous variable, in the free statistical software “R“. In the present study it was concluded that there is no equality between the census volume and the dispatch volume, between the commercial height with the total height and between the SERFOR formula with SMALIAN, on the other hand, the felling volume is similar to the volume of the census, when the cedar shape factor is used, the “Sumagado“ and “hueco“ faults are the faults that cause the greatest impact on the yield of the wood and finally, in the inventories individuals with diameters should not be considered. greater than 1.10 m, since they present more defects and their volume is not significant.
