The present Professional Proficiency Work is drafted following the guidelines of the degree by professional proficiency work regulations - UNALM issued by resolution No. 0083- 2022-CU-UNALM. It addresses the problem and the solution found through the implementation of a local ERP in the company Contratistas Generales Waras, which has been engaged in the sale of food and beverages in the city of Huaraz for over eleven years, with an average monthly revenue of 170,000 soles. The author joined the company in March 2021, when the world was recovering from the impacts caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, and her task was to lead the implementation of the local ERP, in an initial situation where both sales and inventory control were managed manually, lacking any traceable record. Furthermore, there was no effective interaction between the sales and warehouse departments. Based on the projected losses and considering the benefits derived from the implementation of an ERP system, the decision was made to select a local provider that fit within the budget and addressed the company's needs. Following the ASAP methodology, the ERP was implemented, a process that took a total period of six months from project approval. As a result of this initiative, a drastic reduction of 600% in man-hours previously required for inventory management was achieved. Similarly, there was a decrease of 538.3% in monetary losses due to product shrinkage and end-of-shift cash closures. Additionally, an increase in product turnover was observed. In summary, at the end of the project, successful integration of sales with inventory was achieved thanks to the implementation of an ERP.
