--- The purpose of the present investigation was to evaluate cytotoxic, antimitòtic, antimutagenic and antiviral the activity of the methanolic extract to 10% p/v of leaves of Calophylum brasiliense Cambess of Satipo. MATERIAL Y METHODS: being used several experimental models of CYTED, Skehan, Gustafson y Simmons. RESULTS: Citotoxic effects: The extract has a good citotoxic effect evaluated in Artemia salina with a CL50 of 70.5 ppm (with 95% confidence limits of 36.4-136.5 ppm). Also there is an inhibitory effect over cellular tumoral lines U251,PC-3, HCT15,MCF7 and K562 (109.42, 95.67, 96.16, 102.68, and 95.69% respectivelly, p minor a 0.01) Antimitotic effect; Was evatuated in Allium cepa meristemic cells. Ther was a decrement in the mitotic index from 13 to 1 working with a concentration of 0.5% at 25°C. Antimutagenic activity: There was no observable effects at concentrations up to 15 ppm in embrionic development of fecundated eggs of Sea urchin. Antiviral effects were evaluated by the method of HIV-1 Reverse Transcriptase inhibition. There was a CL50 of 70.3 ug/ml (with 95% confidence limits of 35.6-138.9 ppm). Phyitochemical evaluation: The methanolic extract of Calophylum brasiliense contains alcaloids, cumarines, lactones, triterpenes. We have been able to isolate three compounds with the provisional names of CbHS5, CbHS16 and CbHS525354. DISCUSSION: The composeds observing can presented an good effect pharmacologycal antitumoral y antiviral. CONCLUSION: The extract of Calophylum brasiliense of Satipo presented an good inhibitory effect of Cancer y SIDA. Key Words: Calophylum brasiliense, citotoxicity, antimitotic, antiviral Embriotoxicity, alkaloids, cumarinas, Cancer, AIDS.
