Abstract: Se realizaron los análisis proximal y lipídico de pulmones, corazón, hígado y riñones de cobayos machos, adultos: 10 de nivel del mar (Lima, 150 m) y 10 de altura (Huancayo, 3 280 m).
En el análisis proximal se determinó el contenido de humedad, cenizas, proteínas, lípidos y carbohidratos, y en el análisis lipídico el contenido de fosfolípidos, colesterol y triglicéridos en cada órgano. Los resultados fueron expresados en mg/g de tejido húmedo.
El peso corporal y de los órganos fueron mayores en los cobayos de altura con respecto a los de nivel del mar.
En los pulmones de cobayos de altura el contenido de: humedad, lípidos, fosfolípidos, colesterol y triglicéridos fue menor; y el de cenizas y carbohidratos fue mayor.
En el corazón de cobayos de altura el contenido de: cenizas, lípidos, fosfolípidos y triglicéridos fue menor; y el de carbohidratos fue mayor.
En el hígado de cobayos de altura el contenido de: humedad y proteínas fue menor; y el de cenizas, lípidos, carbohidratos, fosfolípidos y colesterol fue mayor.
En los riñones de cobayos de altura el contenido de: carbohidratos, fosfolípidos y colesterol fue menor; y el de lípidos y triglicéridos fue mayor.

In the proximal analysis, moisture, ashes, proteins, lipids and carbohidrates content was determined, and in the lipidic analysis, phospholipides, cholesterol and triglycerides content in each organ was determined. The results were expressed in mg/g of moistured tissue. The corporal and organs weight were greater in the guinea pigs from altitude than those from sea level. In the lungs of guinea pigs from altitude the content of: moisture, lipides, phospholipides, cholesterol and triglycerides was smaller; and ashes and carbohidrates was greater. In the heart of guinea pigs from altitude the content of: ashes, lipides, phospholipides and triglycerides was smaller; and carbohidrates was greater. In the liver of guinea pigs from altitude the content of: moisture and proteins was smaller; and ashes, lipides, carbohidrates, phospholipides and cholesterol was greater.
