--- a. Objective: • Determine what soft tissue calcifications more frequent in digital dental panoramic radiographs in San Isidro Diagnostic Center from October 2014 to March 2015. b. Material and Methods.- is an observational, descriptive, quantitative, retrospective and cross-sectional study. The study area corresponded to the Service Dental X-ray Integral Diagnostic Center San Isidro. The population consists of dental panoramic radiographs of patients who attended. The type of sample included all dental panoramic radiographs included in the study period who met the inclusion criteria, therefore it is a population sample. c. Results.- of a total of 1071 cases, 61.5% were female and as to 41.5% age group was 12 to 30 years. 494 of them had calcifications and on the number, 406 (82.2%) had one Calcification, 79 (16%) 2 calcifications and finally 9 (1.8%) 3 calcifications. Most distribution of calcifications was the process Stylohyoid Calcified with 319 cases, followed by Cartilage Laryngeal Calcified with 153 cases, atheromas with 49 cases, Antrolitos with 41 cases, phleboliths with 13 cases, Sialoliths with 7 cases osteoma cutis and unspecific with 4 cases and the Tonsilloliths with 2 cases. d. Conclusions.- 1. Radiographs are evaluated more frequently as Female fuel which represent 61.5%. 2. Of the total, according to the variable age, the age group 12 to 30 years had the highest rate, followed by the larger group of 50 years. 3. According to the presence of calcifications without calcifications cases accounted for 53.9% and those with calcifications 46.1%. Of the latter the female was the most frequent. 4. In cases with calcifications according to age, the highest distribution was found in the older group 50 with 17.8%, followed by the group of 12-30 years 15.8%. 5. Regarding the location, most were unilateral and within them are atheroma, Antrolitos, phleboliths and Sialoliths. The presentation Bilateral Process Stylohyoid were calcified Laryngeal Cartilage Calcified, osteoma cutis and unspecific. Only in the case of Tonsilloliths there was an equal cases. 6. Process Calcified Stylohyoid was the most frequent calcification, most were female and the age group 12-30 years had the highest frequency. Second Laryngeal Cartilage Calcified were located, most often female and Older group of 50 had the highest frequency. Third atheromas stood with female majority in the older group and 50 had the highest frequency. In the case of Antrolitos it had more frequent in the group of 12-30 years. Phleboliths well as Sialoliths present in majority in the older group 50 years. Osteoma cutis entirely in the larger group of 50. Tonsilloliths were less frequent. 7. Of the total cases, 82.2% had a Calcification, 16% had two calcifications and 1.8% three calcifications. Keyword: Orthopantomography, calcifications Soft parts, Panoramic Dental.
