In front of the frame of the globalization, and the competitiveness, the individuals have been looking for constant adaptation and changes in their behavior. As opposed to it the nurse must like mission provide a quality attention, besides to offer to education and direction to the patient and family settling down for it a suitable interpersonal relation, where its main tool is the communication. The present study: ” Styles of communication that establishes the nurse according to opinion of the parents of children burned of the INSN. 2006”, had like objectives to determine the communication styles that establish the nurse according to opinion of the parents of family of the burned boy, and to identify the opinion that the parents of the boy burned on the style of communication of the nurse in the verbal and nonverbal dimension have. The study is of applicative level, quantitative type, simple descriptive method of cross section. The population was conformed by parents of burned children (41). The instrument that was used was a form type scale of Lickert and the technique was the interview. The most significant findings were than the opinion of the parents on the styles of communication of the nurse in the verbal dimension is moderately favorable, to favorable and this dice because some parents express that the nurse speaks to him sincerely so that they collaborate with the care of the boy. With respect to the opinion of the parents on the styles of communication of the burned nurse of the service of, in the nonverbal dimension a tendency of moderately favorable exists to unfavorable, every time the parents show that some nurses ignore them when they ask for his boy.
