--- This research study entitled “Knowledge of supplementary feeding and its relation to the nutritional status of children under 2 years. CRED program of SJM 2015 CS, overall objective “Determining the relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers on complementary feeding and nutritional status of children under 2 years attending the office of CRED CS Villa San Luis ; and specific objectives to determine the level of knowledge of mothers about complementary feeding, besides determining the nutritional status in children under 2 years of age are. The research study aimed to provide updated and accurate information about the level of knowledge possessed mothers and nutritional status of their children's information, so that in this way can increase knowledge about complementary feeding and the adoption of behaviors adequate food and healthy for the child. The study is quantitative, application level, descriptive correlational and cross-sectional method. The population consisted of 50 mothers. The technique used was the interview-survey. The instrument was the questionnaire and assessment form infant nutritional status. Among its conclusions it is that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers on complementary feeding and nutritional status of children under 2 years of age, in relation to the level of knowledge held by mothers on complementary feeding you have most of which is low. Finally, in reference to child nutritional status have the most children is between malnutrition and overweight, followed by a significant group of children with normal nutritional status.
