-- The present study was designed to study the chemical composition of extract metanólico obtained from the bark of Brunfelsia grandiflora D. Don “chiric sanango“, and determine its in vitro antioxidant activity and its healing activity in vivo. The methanolic extract obtained treating a kilogram of bark by maceration in methanol, and performing on it preliminary reactions of characterization of its chemical constituents by Phytochemistry march and subsequent identification and elucidation by qualitative analysis of gas chromatography / mass spectrometry (GC/MS), highlighting the presence of alkaloids of indolic kernel: Ibogamina, estrictamina, secoaspidodasycarpina, pseudokopsinina, voacangine, hidroxyindoleninaibogaine, voalutenina, voacangine, vincoridina and akuanmidina. Determination of in vitro antioxidant activity of the methanolic extract was made using the method of capture of radical 2, 2-difenilpicrilhidrazil (DPPH); do not showing antioxidant capacity. The pharmacological research to evaluate the healing, activity of extract metanólico from the bark of Brunfelsia grandiflora D. Don. Was through the design of ointments in concentrations of 1, 2, and 3% of the extract, conveyed with lard as a basis in its formulation commercial ointment Clorelace®. Were employed a control group and an intervention group, using as healing pattern a commercial ointment. The biological material used consisted of 36 Adult male albino mice strain Bald C53 with average weight of 35 grams; which were split into six groups of six mice each. Were practiced incisions in the previous third dorsal of the loin of mice, and healing activity was assessed using the tensiometric method of Howes et al. The performed experiment corroborated the healing activity atributted to the bark Brunfelsia grandiflora D. Don, showing a tension resistance average of 137 mL of water and healing effectiveness of 59.4%, in the ointment concentrated 3 % of extract, which also showed the best histological evolution on healing process. Statistical analysis shows that the pharmacological pattern; Register greater resistance of the voltage and high significance than the rest of treatment. This activity would be attributed to the chemical components of indolic alkaloid nature which has metanólico of its bark extract. -- Keywords: Brunfelsia grandiflora D.
