--- The research aims to explain the social problem of incestuous sexual abuse in girls and young women. The group interviewed consisted of girls from 6 to 15 years old who had been sexually abused by their fathers; additionally; 9 mothers of these girls were interviewed. The interviews were semi–structured and in depth in order to make a posterior content analysis. This research was conducted between 2004 and 2006. The thesis is divided into four chapters, the fourth contains the results is divided into six parts: the first part refers to gender violence experienced by mothers and connects with to the violence suffered his daughters, presents the causes and consequences of incestuous sexual abuse suffered by children. The second part describes how to discovered the secret, and details what is found in criminal proceedings, together with the experiences of the children and their mothers. The third part of the thesis is devoted to showing the characteristics of victims and perpetrators. Part four reveals these families, their socioeconomic characteristics, as well as relations between each one of the members of these families. Part five; we talk about the views that have the children about the media. Part six us narrate their experience they have lived while at school. Finally, we present the conclusions, recommendations, references and annexes. Key words: gender, sexual abuse, incest, girls, family, abusive father
