The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between cooperation and motivation of adolescent patients during orthodontic treatment in clinical of Postgraduate UNMSM. MATERIAL AND METHOD: The study was descriptive and cross-sectional. Evaluated a total of 90 adolescent patients between 13 to 19 years were in orthodontic treatment for longer than 4 months. Were evaluated by their operators cooperation by patient cooperation scale, patients are also provided to assess the scale of motivation and determine their relationship with patient cooperation by gender. RESULTS: The results accept the hypothesis formulated by the chi-square test of Pearson; x² =9.4897; P=0.009 (p < 0.05) was found in teenager patients good cooperation of 73.3%, a regular cooperation with 26.7% and none poor cooperation, with a predominance in females and motivation with regular 58.8%, good motivation with 40% and bad motivation of 1.1%; CONCLUSION: There is significant association between cooperation and motivation of teenager patients on orthodontic treatment as her gender.
