During the months of June 2013 to March 2014, were collected 215 specimens of Scartychtis gigas, 147 males and 68, females, from artisanal fisheries in Terminal Pesquero de Chorrillos, Lima, Peru, to study the diversity of helminth parasites and relationship with sex, weight and size of fish. Were collected 7979 helminths, six species of parasitic helminths: digeneans Zoogonus dextrocirrus, Lepocreadium pegorchis, Metamegasolena sp; larval stages of nematode Proleptus sp, Pseudodelphis n. sp and cistacants of acanthocephalan Corynosoma obtuscens. Of the 215 hosts, 1.86% had no parasite (4 of 215), the 31,16% (67 of 215) were infected with only one species of parasite and 66.98% (144 of 215) presented multiple infection where biparasitism predominated (66 of 215). Females with sizes between 16.6cm and 17.4cm and weights between 61gr and 69gr showed the highest frequency parasitic. Males with lengths between 18.4cm and 19,2cm and weights between 79gr and 87gr showed the highest frequency parasitic. Winter, spring and summer were the seasons that had the highest species richness, spring was the one that had the highest amount of collected parasites. Key words: Helmintofauna; Scartichthys; Zoogonus; Lepocreadium; Metamegasolena; Pseudodelphis
