--- OBJECTIVE: To determine the factors influencing the behavior of pregnants during labor in the Obstetric Service Center at the National Hospital Daniel Alcides Carrión from April to May 2015. METHODOLOGY: An observational, descriptive correlational, cross-prospective. The sample was conformed by 200 pregnant women who attended the Service Obstetric Center of National Hospital Daniel Alcides Carrión in the period from April to May 2015. For data analysis of quantitative variables measures of central tendency (means and averages) and measures of dispersion (standard deviation), for analysis of qualitative variables (nominal) and percentages (relative frequencies) estimated frequencies. Inferential analysis for calculating Chi square test with a confidence interval (CI) 95% (p ≤ 0.05). RESULTS: Of the total 88% of pregnant women have inappropriate behavior and 12% is appropriate behavior. Among the social factors the age of the mother has significant influence behavior of pregnant women in labor (p = 0.001). 33.3% of pregnant women have appropriate behavior and 8% of pregnant women who misbehave are younger than 20 years, so that there is an influence between age younger than 20 years of gestating and appropriate behavior. On the other hand, 50% of pregnant women have appropriate behavior and 76.1% of pregnant women have inappropriate behavior are aged between 20 to 35 years, showing an influence between the age of 20-35 years and the inappropriate behavior. Within the obstetrical factors factor influencing the behavior of pregnant women was planned gestation (p = 0.035) as the 29.17% of pregnant women who planned their pregnancy had adequate behavior compared to only 8.52% of pregnant women they presented inappropriate behavior. Within the psychological factor factor fear of childbirth (p = 0.035) were significantly associated with the behavior of pregnant women during labor; ie only 50% of pregnant .that had expressed fear of childbirth proper behavior while 78.4% had inappropriate behavior. Within the clinical factor 16.7% of pregnant women with proper behavior, and 42% of pregnant women with that inappropriate behavior during labor had spontaneous rupture of membranes, showing that there is an influence between the spontaneous rupture of membranes and inappropriate behavior. Within the human factor, 66.7% of pregnant women who had adequate behavior and 43.2% who had an inappropriate behavior were treated by a professional obstetrician who evidenced significant influence between appropriate behavior and care by the obstetrician (p = 0.016). In addition to pregnant women who were left alone “minimally“ behavior they had adequate labor at 66.7%, while pregnant that left him alone, “almost always“ had inappropriate behavior in 47.7%. (P <0.001). CONCLUSIONS: Within the social, obstetrical, psychological, clinical and human factor. The factors influencing the behavior of pregnant women during labor is age, planned pregnancy, spontaneous rupture of membranes, the care provided by the obstetrician professional and the company to the patient in labor.
