--- OBJECTIVE: To determine knowledge on the postvacunales adverse reactions of the UNMSM nursing students Lima - Perú 2011. MATERIAL AND METHOD: the study is application level, quantitative type, crosssectional descriptive method. The technique was the poll and the instrument a questionnaire of 16 multiple choice questions, determined statistically reliability and statistical validity using the evidence of Kuder Richardson and the Pearson coefficient R. The study was conducted at the school academic professional nursing of the UNMSM whose population was 196 nursing students of which a sample of 65 (22 of 3th, 21 of 4th and 5th year. RESULTS: 100% (65) of students of nursing 54 per cent (35) unknown on postvacunales adverse reactions and 46% (30) known. As to the dimension of reactions adverse postvacunales premises the 91% (59) unknown local reactions of rare frequency; without embargo 58 per cent (38) find out about the common characteristics of local adverse reactions. About knowledge about systemic adverse reactions postvacunales 79% (51) know the reactions of rare frequency and 51% (33) know about the time of appearance of systemic adverse reactions. CONCLUSIONS: The UNMSM nursing students mostly unknown on postvacunales adverse reactions, being in its dimensions the indicator with highest percentage of ignorance of rare frequency postvacunales adverse reactions.
