--- Descriptive research that studies attitudes toward internship on fourth year nursing students, considering pre-professional practice in hospitals according the complexity of services: hospitalization and emergency, and pre-professional practice in community according the field of rotation: intramural and extramural area. The results will assist the teachers of the School of Nursing to strengthen positive attitudes towards internship and modify those unfavorable with rejection trend. Sixty two students have participated. An elaborated questionnaire was developed with the semantic differential technique, consisting of 7 reagents, each one with twelve bipolar scales, considering this factors: evaluative, activity, power, and familiarity. Data processing was done manually and using a statistical package in Excel (XLSTAT). The information is presented on charts and graphics (profiles). Among its conclusions, the attitude toward internship is of mild acceptance, rejection was identified for the hospital area, and acceptance for the community area, both with mild intensity. The attitude toward the experience for hospitalization services is of mild acceptance unlike the practice for the emergency services, which is of mild rejection. Attitudes towards intramural and extramural area is of mild acceptance. On the attitude towards the internship, evaluative factor and activity, in all the reagents, acceptance goes from mild to moderate; and the power and familiarity, in most of the reagents, the rejections goes from mild to moderate.The internship is considered by students as an experience, from the evaluative factor, slightly pleasant, slightly satisfactory and quite beautiful, from the power factor, as slightly difficult, slightly stressful and slightly heavy, from the activity factor as slightly happy, very active and slightly slow, from the familiarity factor, as slightly known experience, slightly safe, and slightly complex.
