This study was made in those coastal wetlands occurring in Medio Mundo, Paraíso, Pantanos de Villa and Puerto Viejo (Lima). The testing period was developed from May 2006 to April 2007. The goal of this study was to determine the abundance and habitat use of Plegadis ridgwayi in the most important coastal wetlands in Lima. Monthly, the number of individuals of ibis occurring in these four studied wetlands averages 433 individuals, besides we found a defined seasonal variation. The Puna Ibis arrives in early May. Its populations grown until reach the top of 818 birds in September then decrease slowly the following months to estabilize in summer with the resident population about 125 ibis.
