--- Biosecurity measures consist of a set of internationally recognized preventive measures aimed at protecting the health and safety personnel and its environment. Studies in the 1990s in Spain, are evidence of nursing students have positive results in markers of Hepatitis B. In another study Moreno Garrido z. found that the internal nursing initially had entirely a bad regular application level. This issue is important to the internal nursing, almost formed professionally, present a level of high knowledge, good practice and favourable attitude towards the implementation of the measures of biosafety, with greater emphasis on those as peripheral venous via pipeline invasive procedures. Therefore this study whose overall objective was to have been: determine the knowledge, attitudes and practices that made the internal of nursing from the University of San Marcos, 2009 on peripheral venous via pipeline biosafety measures. Study is quantitative, descriptive method of cross; the population was formed by 36 nursing inmates, the technique was survey and observation and the instruments questionnaire, scale modified Lickert and checklist. The obtained conclusions are: 1. Internally nursing knowledge on Biosafety in peripheral venous via pipeline procedure measures is of medium level, followed by a level of high knowledge and a minority group of internal knowledge level low. 2. The attitude of nursing to the application of biosecurity, measures internally is predominantly indifferent and unfavourable. 3. Nursing internally biosafety practices are mostly correct.
